What is Fire Roasting?
Fire roasting is a process in which tomatoes are flame broiled to bring out their naturally sweet flavor. As the skin of the tomato is charred, the naturally-produced sugar in the tomato caramelizes, thus enhancing its bold flavor.
"The intense fire roasted flavors of the Muir Glen tomatoes are perfect for my favorite type of cooking – low and slow, to build layers of intense flavor, while being quite elegant in its minimalism."
