Ingredients

  • • For the turkey burgers:
  • • 1 lb ground turkey
  • • 1 tbsp basil
  • • 2 tbsp Muir Glen Organic diced tomatoes
  • • salt and pepper to taste
  • • For the sweet potato wedges:
  • • 3 medium sweet potatoes, sliced thinly
  • • For the ketchup:
  • • 12 oz Muir Glen Organic tomato paste
  • • 1/3 cup cane sugar
  • • 1/2 cup white vinegar
  • • 2 tbsp garlic powder
  • • 2 tbsp onion powder
  • • salt and pepper to taste
  • • Toppings:
  • • butter lettuce
  • • tomato
  • • pickles
  • • red onion
  • • mozzarella

Directions

Prep Time: 20 minutes

Total Time: 40 minutes

  1. For the turkey burgers: In a medium sized bowl, combine all the ingredients for your turkey burgers. Mix well to combine.
  2. Roll your mixture into golf ball sized patties, then transfer to a plate.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and spray with non-stick cooking spray.
  4. Fill the pan with your turkey burgers, about 4 at a time depending on your pan. Cook for 4 minutes, then flip. Before removing, check to make sure your cookies are cooked all the way through. Transfer to a plate and continue cooking until all your burgers are done.
  5. *If you want your sliders to have cheese, add one small ball of mozzarella a few minutes before removing from heat.*
  6. For the sweet potato wedges: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
  7. Slice your sweet potatoes, then toss in olive oil and transfer to a baking sheet.
  8. Roast for 40 minutes, or until wedges are cooked through and crispy on the edges.
  9. For the ketchup: Add all ingredients to a food processor.
  10. Blend well to combine.
  11. Taste and adjust vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper based on your personal preference.
  12. To serve: Stack one sweet potato wedge with lettuce, onion, tomato, a turkey slider, ketchup, and a pickle. Enjoy!
