Chakchouka-style Breakfast Bake

This simple and delicious take on Shakshuka is sure to become a weekend morning staple.

Ingredient List
  • 3 oz. ground beef Small check mark in a circle icon
  • 1/4 medium zucchini, thinly sliced Small check mark in a circle icon

  • 2 tablespoons red onion, chopped Small check mark in a circle icon
  • 1 garlic clove, pressed Small check mark in a circle icon
  • 1/2 cup Muir Glen Organic Tomato Basil Pasta Sauce Small check mark in a circle icon
  • Chipotle habanero sauce Small check mark in a circle icon
  • 3 eggs Small check mark in a circle icon
Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
  2. In a 5-inch skillet, brown ground beef.
  3. Add zucchini to pan. Season with Italian seasoning blend.
  4. Add red onion and cook until soft.
  5. Add garlic, Muir Glen Organic Tomato Basil Pasta Sauce, and a dash of chipotle habanero sauce.
  6. Make 3 wells and add 1 egg to each.
  7. Cook on the skillet for a few minutes, then transfer to oven and bake for 10 minutes or until whites are firm.
  8. Remove and let rest for about 5 minutes before serving.
